The installation Clàstics in the Croscat volcano in the Garrotxa volcaniczone, at the invitation of the engineers who have remodelled the whole Croscat. It consist of a total of 329 metresof rust-treated metal sheets covering the retaining walls,an interesting sculptural group, and a conceptual route made up of icons, foodstuffs and unusual symbolic writings. The ten episodes express the dialogue between people and nature. The single conical peak of the Croscat volcano, like Stromboli in outline, is the tallest in the Iberian peninsula at 180m, and its last eruption (9500BC) was the peninsula's most recent. So it combines educational and tourist interest. Geologically it es well preserved, except for the north and north-west faces. It lies at the heart of the La Garrotxa Volcanic Area Natural Park (Spain), which was declared a nature reserve in 1982 for its unusual geology and scientific importance. The restoration project was by agricultural engineers working for the Banyoles company Aspecte, Martirià Figueres (landscaping) and Joan Font (environmental impact assessment).
